Safina Elephants!

It's hard to pick a specific moment that I enjoyed in Safina the most, but if I had to choose, I'd say it was meeting Katito. While she doesn't get the most time in the book, her small comments are my favorite. She hasn't been working as long as Cynthia has in the field, but she has the same enthusiasm for the elephants she takes attendance for and observes. I find her way of speaking to be giddy and excited, traits that remind me of an excited child or someone who is passionate about something they do. If I could ever get the chance to meet Katito, I would, and I'd love to hear all her stories about the hundreds of elephants she knows.
Now I know I said I would try to get a topic that dealt with sloths, I have not had much luck finding any. I hope that'll change by next week, but otherwise I think I'm going to try to stick to research in crows. I really find them to be amazing ever since watching Bird Brain and I want to learn even more about what they are able to do. I already have a list of researchers, studies, and quotes from multiple sources so I'm hoping it will help me a good deal.
As for research, I have not done much besides Googling and finding articles that had the researcher's name under it. I have gone on Twitter to look for some researchers to follow and see what other works they are doing, so that has been helpful. I plan to keep looking though, and maybe find more videos or films to watch since I retain more visually.
That's all for this week!
Signing off for now...
Emi out :D

Hi Emily, I never thought about researching sloths for this class. It seems like it'll be a very good topic since not much is shown about sloths and their capabilities.
Hi Emily,
I like what you said about Safina. I feel like you put yourself into her book and have the same feeling with her. I had the same problem as you, when I searched for an animal I wanted to study and found that there wasn't much research on it.
